(FUNDRAISER FOR ARMENIA/KARABAKH REFUGEES)
Bridging awareness is key to empowering all communities. In this poetry workshop Love Letters to Artsakh, participants learn to write poetry using figurative language and visualization through historical facts and photographs about the region.
Brief information about the illegal war is highlighted to show how a devastated community of Armenians in Azerbaijan, seeking independence; instead, witnessed war and hunger from the effects of discrimination and long-harbored resentments beyond its own borders.
Love Letters to Artsakh gives participants, and all who listen, an opportunity to share and honor those families, soldiers, children, grandmothers, grandfathers, and neighbors an opportunity to receive love and to bridge awareness of their situation. At the end of the workshop, an opportunity to contribute on participants’ social media platforms using #loveletterstoartsakh and in commemoration of the 106 anniversary of the Armenian Genocide. All voluntary donations are directed to the Women’s Support Center in Armenia to help distribute clothing, food and other goods to refugees from the war.
